Mani Monday | New Year's Sparkle

Is it really almost New Years? Someone pinch me!

Todays Mani Monday is all about sparkles and horseshoes! Horseshoes? You heard me right!

I definitely am a superstitious person and I need all the luck I can get so I what is better than having some horseshoes on my nails?! I had no idea what design I wanted to do this time around but came around by combining 3 different pinterest photos I found! I hope you enjoy my New Year's Sparkle!

I'm ready to ring in the New Year!...or actually... Ring in the Sparkles!

What are some exciting things that you do on New Years Eve and New Years?

Cheers,

Boxing Day 2013 | Haul

P.S. MY BOXING DAY 2013 HAUL IS UP ON MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL, CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT OUT!

Did you brave the malls and take advantage of the crazy & massive boxing day sales? I definitely did and might I say that my wallet is much thinner in size now! note to self: don't shop as much. SAVE MONEY!

First of all...if you don't know what boxing day is then let me explain. Easiest way to put it is: Boxing Day is the day after Christmas and is basically like Black Friday!

This years boxing day sale was a little different for me, but I am not sure if it was because I went by myself shopping or I just knew that I had a certain mission which was to get in, get what I needed and get out! This year I did not dilly dally and go into stores like Forever21 or Urban Outfitters which are usually one of my hotspots that I always enjoy going into. Nope, not this time! I knew that it was going to be an absolute mess and had no patience to : Wait in line for either a change room/till and/or even go through the mess of clothing items strewn throughout the whole store!

Also, I mostly didn't go to Forever21 and Urban Outfitters because I blew all my money at Lululemon and Steve Madden. Foolish me.

Anyways, Lululemon didn't have amazing deals but they had some shirts and pants that were about $20 off! I did have to pay full price for my wunder unders though.. which sucked!

From Steve Madden I picked up a pair of boots that I have been eyeing for so long! They would be the Chaarger boot! I love these boots more than any of my other boots at the moment!

Last places I went for the day would be Aeropostale & Sephora. From Aeropostale I picked up a pair of the black and white tribal looking pants from the Bethany Mota Collection which are so soft and fuzzy! Then, from Sephora I picked up a Korres brightening face wash and sleeping cream, two Boscia moisturizers and a cookie scented Philosophy gift set!

I definitely would say that this year I went in to the stores that were a must, and if I didn't see the rest then it was okay! I stood in line to get into Lululemon for about 10 minutes but...it was worth it! I Love Lululemon! Now I'm crossing my fingers that I can find that Marc Jacobs Classic Q Natasha bag on sale!

What did you do for Christmas? Did you find any amazing deals for Boxing Day?

Cheers,

xx

Christmas Gift Guide's | LAST MINUTE GIFTS

I can't believe that Christmas is TOMORROW! Do any of you have any last minute gift planning to do? Did you actually know that there is a high percentage of people who don't actually finish their Christmas shopping until the 24th of December? Which is CHRISTMAS EVE? No surprise though. Everyone loves to procrastinate! I personally do it because I like to stretch out the holiday as much as I can and believe that the holiday's are longer than it is! Now if you either can't find a gift to give someone, or you need a quick easy fix I have listed below a few options that will hopefully help you out!

1. DIY Mason Jar Tumblers
I absolutely love this for a quick little gift that I can include with a gift card to a tea place! This cup is perfect for iced teas, iced coffees, smoothies, green juices...you name it!

Who doesn't love cupcakes? For those on a tighter budget and want something a little less tool-dependent, you can always bake these cupcakes and then put them in the jars! As easy as 1-2-3!!

What girl doesn't want to own a pair of Christian Louboutin's? Personally I would love to receive a pair that someone made for me! Who cares if they are "fake". Wear them and rock 'em!

I think this is the perfect couple gift, whether it is your first Christmas together or longer! It's so cute to put together this little booklet with cute and witty coupons you can use! Does anyone have a coupon for a long, beautiful walk in the park...?

I personally feel that this gift is perfect if you're on a low budget but need to get a whole bunch of gifts! Gifts like these are perfect if you wrap them up with a card and some love! If you finish this DIY project well enough..it could definitely look like gourmet chocolate!

6. CARE PACKAGE
I unfortunately do not have a picture for this one.. but what I would do is find any kind of box and then fill it with cheap things that I know the person I am giving it to would love. Sometimes it feels great to keep pulling present after present out of a box and knowing the gift giver really had to think about you to fill the box with just the right things!

I hope this little LAST MINUTE GIFT GUIDE may help you out with your procrastination troubles! How do you combat last minute shopping for the Holidays!?

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Cheers,

xx

Mani Monday | Burgundy Christmas

Christmas is only 2 days away!? Why is the Christmas season almost over? It makes me rather sad that the Holiday season is almost coming to a close! I mean...I'll still have my nails to remember it by! Anyways, I thought I'd do a second Christmas-y Mani Monday, just in case you are still looking for the perfect nails to do for your up and coming Christmas party!

This design is similar to the Holiday Sparkles nails that I had, except this time I thought I would change it up and go for a burgundy color as the base and a complete white design over top of it (which was inspired by christmas sweaters!)

p.s. I thought I would leave out the sparkles this time! Although I miss my sparkles!

Do you wear Christmas sweaters during Christmas?

Much Love,

YourTea: 28 Day TinyTea Teatox | Last Update

I'm out of tea!
Hello, Hello - everyone! I am back with an update for the final instalment of the TinyTea Teatox Review! p.s. I will try to keep this short and sweet!
Overall, I feel like this tea definitely did help with my energy levels, suppressed my appetite, and aided in reducing my bloating! As noted in my previous posts (Initial1st Update2nd Update) I did not do much exercise nor did I go on a healthy diet. I wanted to test this tea on its own ability to help me with weight-loss!

Now, down to the nitty-gritty!
Did I lose weight? No. But...
Do I look and feel thinner? Yes.

I feel like the extra "fat" around my waist is starting to slim down and I feel slimmer! It isn't always about the number that determines whether or not you have "lost weight"! As a final note, my thoughts on this tea are nothing but positive!

Would I repurchase this tea? YES!

I hope that these past few reviews will help give you an informed decision on whether or not the TinyTea Teatox is right for you!

Much Love,

xx

My Holiday Wishlist | Christmas 2013

How is this year coming to a close already!? But - before that, we can't forget about the holidays! (which is my favorite time of year!) I always find myself contemplating on what I want for Christmas, when the question is asked, but never come to a real conclusion. Some years, I don't even know what I want! Something that I absolutely love about the holidays is giving gifts and waiting to see the reactions of the gift openers! Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing the joy on someone else's face! Although thinking of creative gifts for other is one of my favorite things to do during the holidays, receiving gifts is always a treat! p.s. here is My Holiday Wishlist for 2013! ;) *Wink, Wink, Hint, Hint*

#1: Michael Kors MINI-Size Tortoise and Rose Gold Tone Parker Chronograph Glitz Watch, 33mm
Michael Kors MINI-Size Tortoise and Rose Gold Tone Parker Chronograph Glitz Watch, 33mm
I have never really owned a watch before and think this one is a beautiful mix of rose gold and glitz! It is glamorous enough to be worn on a night out but also simple enough to be worn on an everyday basis! What I love most about this watch is the tortoise shell band. *cough, cough* it is cheaper if you buy it in-store and ask for a price match & can be found at Michael Kors, Holt Renfrew & Bloomingdales *cough, cough* ...hmmmm did you hear someone say something?...

#2: Marc Jacobs Black Classic Q Natasha
Marc Jacobs Black Classic Q Natasha
What more can I say than .. elegant & classic? This bag seems so spacious and can be matched with virtually any outfit!

#3: Lululemon Wunder Unders *Full-On Luon
Lululemon Wunder Unders *Full-On Luon
If any of you know me, I have an obsession with the Lululemon Wunder Unders (especially the Full-On Luon since they aren't see through!) These pants can be worn with a dressier top, to the gym or even just to lounge in! These are by far the comfiest pants I own that can allow me to be stylish at the same time! I can never own to many of these! But yet, I still do not own a black pair...

#4: Mophie Juice Pack Power Station USB Portable Battery Pack
Mophie Juice Pack Power Station USB Portable Battery Pack
Since I have switched over to the iPhone 5, I have lost use of my current Mophie Juice Pack which is only compatible to the iPhone 4s ): I loved this product so much since it could bring my phone back, from the dead, to a 100% charge - wherever I went! I need one of these! You don't understand how amazing it is to know that you have a back up stash of battery life when your phone dies 1/2 way into the day!

#5: Erin Condren Gray Monogram Party Pops Luggage
Erin Condren Gray Monogram Party Pops Luggage
Yes, I have an obscene obsession with Erin Condren products and when I found out that she released this product, I may have shot right out of my chair and bounced off any wall or floor I could find! I think it would be so adorable to have the letter "J" with a heart monogrammed beside it, on this suitcase!

#6: Pandora Charms
Pandora Charms
Since I have gotten a Pandora bracelet I have loved collecting charms. Each one I receive has a story behind it, and that is what I love. I enjoy looking at my bracelet and recollecting many past experiences & feelings!

#7: Beauty Box Subscription (ie. Luxebox)
Beauty Box Subscription (i.e. above is Luxebox)
I absolutely love receiving beauty box subscriptions in the mail and seeing what I get to try out each month! I definitely enjoy the surprise of the unknown products, each month, the most!

#8: Apple iPad Mini w/ Retina Display 32 GB
Apple iPad Mini w/ Retina Display 32 GB
All of my closest friends and family know that the only electronic products I own are made by Apple. Why? I have no idea. I have outgrown my iPad 1, which is starting to die and would like to make a new friend :) I like how portable and compact this iPad is compared to the original size! I used to be very against the mini-size and thought it was completely pointless, but I think it has grown on me! This iPad is the perfect size to read an ebook, surf the web, watch a movie & "place in your back pocket" as Apple likes to say (I think)! Not that my back pocket is nearly big enough to fit this iPad, let alone my iPhone.

#9: Gift Cards for Gas
Gas Gift Card
Of all the gift cards I would love to receive I think the most practical and well used one would be a gas gift card. Personally, I hate having to go to the gas station to pay for gas! Who doesn't? I think it is so tedious to have to fill up your car with gas, to make it run! Note to self: Save up for an electric car!

#10: Love
Love
Sometimes, all you need is love.

p.s. I know some of these gifts may seem out of range, but hey...it's my wishlist!

What is on your wishlist this year?

Much Love,

xx

YourTea: 28 Day TinyTea Teatox | 2nd Update

Jenn back - for an update! I hope your week has gone by splendidly because I have definitely lost more sleep than I ever have in my life over the course of just one week, going nuts over finals!

This week was a little up and down for my tea drinking since I've had no time but to have my head in books, but I did realize something; It was that the tea really does work. For about a day or two this week, I had been really off with drinking the tea and I immediately felt the imbalance. I felt so run down, and out of energy when I missed my happy dose of the Teatox. Funny thing is, when I started back on my regular schedule it was like nothing had happened! I definitely know now that this tea is a great source of energy when I need it!

As for the bloating, I can finally see a more significant difference. I am not saying I have acquired a six-pack but I am fitting into my pants a little bet better!

P.s. I have still been following the same exercise & eating regimen.

p.s.s if you haven't checked out the previous posts about the tea feel free to check out the introductory post HERE and the 1st update HERE

Sorry for this very scramble-minded post! I'm on my 36th hour of staying awake... studying! Gotta get back to work now! Be sure to come back next week to see the next update!

(I have since had an update on this tea which you can click on the corresponding post for: Final Update)

Much Love,

Mani Monday | Holiday Sparkles

My favorite thing about doing my nails are the endless amount of designs you can choose from. I definitely know that I am on Pinterest for hours on end before I can combine my favorite nail designs and create my very own set.

The inspiration behind these nails were the typical things you would think about during the holidays or Christmas! I love christmas sweaters, reindeer, snowflakes, and sparkles; so why not put it all together! My most adored thing from this set of nails would definitely be the reindeer and the christmas sweater design! Again, most of these designs were made with a Konad stamping kit! (p.s. these are the best especially if you are doing your own nails because you get a perfect design every time!) + I forgot to mention that I still am LOVING the accent glitter nail!

This is my first year actually doing a holiday theme for my nails. Do you do holidays nails? or do you stick with your regular holiday colors?

Much Love,

YourTea: 28 Day TinyTea Teatox | 1st Update

Jenn here - reporting for duty! So as promised last week, I said I'd be back for a 7 day update on the YourTea: 28 day TinyTea Teatox! (wow, that was a mouthful!). This post is an update post regarding the progress of the YourTea: 28 day TinyTea Teatox. If you haven't already, please feel free to check out the initial post HERE.

So far I haven't been having any issues with the tea, but I'll be honest with you, when I first started drinking it, I did not see any changes..at all! I was expecting to feel and see changes within the first 3 days, just like I had read from other success stories! Not to worry though, after that plateau of 3 days I did start to see differences! Especially in my energy levels! I learned this the hard way though..(staying up until 6 am). I know it says on the website to not drink the tea before bed, but since coffee doesn't usually have an affect on my sleep patterns, I thought it would be okay to drink this tea around 9 pm at night! BAD IDEA! I ended up staying up 'til the next morning, went to bed for 2 hours, then woke up at 8 am for a final exam, and STILL felt fresh as a daisy. Funny that this happened since the tea does not contain any caffeine at all (p.s. no caffeine = no weakening of bone density!)

Now, I didn't actually start to see a reduction in bloating until the 6th & 7th day! The reason why this may be different than other success stories is because everyone's bodies are different! Just like how exercising and eating foods has a different effect on different people, so does the tea! It really depends on how your body, personally, will react to it. Some people will react faster than others. For me, I guess it took a bit longer for my body to adjust!

I thought I would also talk about my diet during this teatox. I have not been dieting, meaning, I have been eating foods that will reach my calorie count per day, which is 1500 calories. (This does not exactly mean I am eating all healthy foods though!) As for exercise, I have not been vigorously exercising. Actually I haven't been really exercising at all. What I really want to test this teatox on is it's ability to keep my bloating down and aid in my weight-loss without any exercise or constant "dieting". (You know? A real test to see if it is the tea that is really helping or just having a good healthy routine). I feel it would be easier to test the ability of the teatox if I kept a control group. (No exercising/dieting) and just let the teatox do its own thing!

I hope this was helpful to you if you're wanting to purchase the tea, and if you already have it, then thanks for following along with my journey! More information on this tea can be found at YourTea's website! Again, I will be back for another 7 day update, next week! So stay tuned and see you then! :)

(I have since had updates on this tea which you can click on the corresponding post for: 2nd UpdateFinal Update)

Much Love,

Hello December | 2013

What!? - It's December already? Where has the year gone? I always find myself asking those same rhetorical questions year after year! Besides the summer months, my second favorite time of year would be December. I think I just realized that now. Why? It seems like the time of year where we can bathe ourselves in the idea of gift giving, jolliness, generosity, warmth, coziness, and the list could go on. There seems to be something so special about this time of year. The holidays. It's like the world comes together as a whole with whatever tradition they have and it unites us all together.
I swear the world slows down a little bit by December; although the days feel shorter, the month feels so much longer. It slows down just enough to allow me to stop for one second and embrace the world around me.

Now, there are a few things that I am completely stoked about for this winter. But, to be honest with you, for the most part, I hate winter. Reasons:
1. It's cold
2. I can't drive anywhere without leaving 30 minutes earlier than regular departure time or else I'll be late.
3. Parking lots suddenly hold less cars because people don't know how to park.
4. People suddenly forget how to drive when snow appears on the ground.
5. It's cold
6. My hair turns into icicles when I walk out of the swimming pool
7. I have to wear a jacket..and a long sleeve shirt, cardigan, pants, socks, boots, hat, scarf and mitts.
8. I have to buy new tires for my car
9. I can't roll down my windows and feel the warm breeze, because IT'S COLD + mostly because my windows are glued shut by the ice!
10. It looks gross outside
11. I hate wearing a jacket when I have to pee in public bathrooms (I know this is weird but it's the truth)
12. I can't wear shorts
13. I can't wear my Birkenstocks
14. People have gross germs
15. I have to use my windshield wipers more than I have to
Oh and did I forget to mention..IT'S COLD!

I mean even though these are only a handful of the reasons why I hate winter, here is a quick list of why I can find the time of day to enjoy it:
1. Snowboarding
And...that's about it!

Don't get me wrong, I love the holidays, I just hate winter! What are some things YOU love/hate about the winter months?

Much Love,

xxx

November Favorites | 2013

Bonjour Mes Amis! It is that time of month again, favorites time! I haven't done a favorites video on my Youtube for quite a while but I am so excited to release my first one here! Now, although I have a small selection of favorites this month, I have discovered new items and relished on past ones! (Don't you love rediscovering something you loved before, and then remembering why you fell in love with it in the first place? I totally do!)

Here are my favorites for the month of November!

1. Delirium by Lauren Oliver
I dropped reading this book, so I thought it would be appropriate to pick it back up again since I have more time to read! I also am loving what is happening in the story so far! Book review?!

2. Eyenvy
I didn't know if I should've spent the big bucks I did to purchase this item but I am happy I did, because my lashes are looking luscious!

3. NYX Black eyeliner pencil
I love black eyeliner. That is all. (This pencil liner has been lasting me super long, which means I don't have to go out an always buy a new one! That's a plus for my gas tank & wallet!)

4. Moroccan Oil
A Classic! Since winter is here, my hair has felt a lot drier & being in the swimming pool so often - the chlorine dries it out real bad! So, I need to let my hair drink this stuff up! (Side note: It makes my hair feel so soft, and smell so delicious!)

5. MAC Mineralized Skin Finish (New Vibe)
This blush is the perfect amount of glow & rose! I feel like this blush gives my face a little life! (p.s. this blush really does stay on for a long period of time!)

6. Lululemon Run: Swiftly Tech Long Sleeve (Pattern: Raspberry Pink?)
I've been really into running and working out lately so I thought I would go ahead and invest in a second Run: Swiftly Tech, my first one was grey, but I needed a little sprinkle of pink! I love how this shirt keeps my sweat and body heat under control!

7. Lululemon Wunder Under Full-On Luon Pants *Brushed (Pattern: Heather Herringbone)
First of all, I love the pattern. Second, I love the feel of the pants. If I am not wearing shorts, then I am wearing Lululemon's Wunder Unders! I can not explain how comfortable they are. They were quite a bit of money, but they are definitely worth the cost! Since they are also brushed (they have an extra layer of "fluff", as I like to say, layered on the inside - it keeps you really warm!)

8YourTea: TinyTea 28 Day Teatox
I just started this Teatox in the last week of November, but let me tell you, although I haven't noticed a big difference in weight loss yet, what I have noticed is a big difference in my energy levels! This Tea (which has no caffeine) gave me energy when I was all drained out of my own!

If you have any favorites that you love please feel free to comment below and let me know! I would love to see what you were loving in November!

Much Love,

YourTea: 28 Day TinyTea Teatox | First Impression + Review

TinyTea: 28 Day Teatox

Recently I've been looking through the explore page on Instagram and a couple of weeks ago I came across the Australian Brand, YourTea. After looking at their profile and their posts I became quite interested in their 'TinyTea: 28 Day Teatox', since I'm trying to drop a few pounds myself! Of course I was quite skeptical as to whether I should purchase this tea or not since more often than less, I feel that weight-loss aids, like teas, do not really work but rather produces a placebo affect. None the less, after doing some research, I saw and read so many great customer stories and thought I would give the product a go!

I went ahead, ordered my very own 28 day TinyTea Teatox and waited patiently for the next couple of days! Unfortunately my package got lost (I was so sad) but I contacted YourTea and I must say that their customer service was impeccable! They were on board with solving my problem and made sure to find a way to get my 28 day TinyTea Teatox to my door! Thank you for making this girl super happy! If you are not familiar with the TinyTea Teatox, it is a tea that helps remove waste, toxins and water retention, detoxifies your body, and aids in weight-loss while keeping your energy levels up! (p.s. there is no caffeine in this product!)

Yourtea upholds that their tea has NO LAXATIVES and uses all natural ingredients to help "truly cleanse and nourish your digestive system". It also helps speed up your metabolism, burns calories and suppresses your appetite!

Although I can't make a full review on the tea at this point, I would like to say that the taste of the tea is not bad. It does taste like any normal tea in my opinion, particularly green tea. I have been drinking the tea about half an hour before my main meals although I find that drinking the tea before breakfast is the most difficult since I want to eat right when I wake up! Overall, I am enjoying the tea so far and will be back next week for a 7 day update to share my thoughts! Can't wait to see the results to come! Until then, Sips away!

If you'd like to purchase your own TinyTea Teatox or simply want to take a peek at the website you can do so by clicking HERE

(I have since had updates on this tea which you can click on the corresponding post for: 1st Update2nd UpdateFinal Update)

Mani Monday | Feathers, Tribal & Glitter

My most adored activity next to get getting my hair done would be getting my nails done! I just recently, over the past year, have fallen in love with using colors and designs to make my fingers look prettier. Prior to this year, I really disliked any types of colors on my fingers (I thought it looked weird on my fingers). If I ever did get my nails done though it would be a french tip and that was all. Nothing less, nothing more. Now, with my addiction to nails I can't wait to share with you all the designs that come across my fingers! (how punny, haha) Also, Instagram & Pinterest are my best friends when looking up new nails designs! I'm serious!

The inspiration behind these nails came from a dreamcatcher, particularly the feathers dangling from a dreamcatcher. I always associate dreamcatchers with some sort of tribal looking pattern, so having the feather and tribal were a must! As for the colour scheme, I didn't quite know what I wanted to do but thought I would keep things neutral and go for a natural look with a spice of glitter! (I've been loving the accent glitter nail!)

The designs were stamped on using one of those Konad stamping kits, and the shellac/gel is from the brand LCN. (Not sure of the colour though, I think it might be Matchmaker)

I've really been loving my nails this time around but can't wait to get into some holiday designs!
What are you favorite nail designs for the holidays?

Much Love,

Ombré Hair | Fall Hair

It's that time of season again, Fall! …Although it really seems like winter, brrr. One of my favorite aspects of fall is the fact that I can begin to change up my wardrobe & my hair! (p.s. I'm one of those people who counts the days down until my next hair appointment, I love hair appointments!) This year I thought I would try something a little different. Ombré. I've had highlights, low lights, and a natural grown ombré, but never have I gone into the salon to ask for one. At the time of my appointment, I must admit that I was a little nervous. Sometimes I go into the salon without an inkling of inspiration or idea of what I want to do with my hair. (side note: I probably am the most talkative, indecisive, and contradictive person you will ever meet when in the salon! There are times when I really can't decide if I want a big change or minimal change but yet I want both! Ask anyone!) Despite my nervousness, it did take me two trips to the salon to get exactly what I wanted & you know what? I love it.
Note: For some reason the camera picked up more of a warm tone in my hair when it really looks cooler! The first photo is the most true to colour of my hair though).

You can definitely see the blond show through when my hair is curled opposed to it being straight!

This time around I tried to go more ashy at the bottom with the blond, which is quite hard for me since I have a darker head of color to begin with! Regardless of the difficulty, my hairstylist, Sarah did a phenomenal job! (btw I hope you have a wonderful time in Germany! Can't wait until you get back to start a new project with my hair!)

I can't wait until my next appointment already! What are you loving about the hair trends this fall?

Much love,
